Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Modeling Courses
Since CGE modeling is a difficult topic, we have decided to conduct our training based on a book. Therefore, in this CGE course series, we base our studies on the book "Textbook of Computable General Equilibrium Modeling – Programming and Simulations" by Nobuhiro Hosoe, Kenji Gasawa and Hideo Hashimoto (2015).
Since this textbook is written for beginners it covers only the basic features of CGE modelling. After working through this textbook, modellers can start to explore advanced topics of CGE modelling.
The CGE training courses we plan to offer using this book are listed below:
- Course CGE1. Introduction to CGE Modelling with GAMS: Simple Model
- Course CGE2. Introduction to CGE Modelling with GAMS: Standard Model
- Course CGE3. CGE Modeling with GAMS: Simulations with the Standard Model
- Course CGE4. CGE Modeling with GAMS: Two-Country Model and Different Market/Production Structures
In the future, after these trainings, we will also offer CGE training courses covering more advanced topics.
